Overview

A complete set of 16 giant shape beads that string straight onto rope, cord, macrame cord or ribbon, with no drilling and no cleanup. Buy the whole set once instead of collecting one shape at a time.

Thirteen shapes come in two versions: a horizontal hole so the bead reads straight across a bracelet or garland, and a vertical hole so a name hangs straight down. Three shapes are horizontal only. Every bead prints in one piece with no supports, and the diamond-shaped bore bridges itself as it prints so it comes out clean.

Dimensions

• Beads: 100mm (3.94in) on their longest side, except the bat which spans 168mm (6.61in)
• Thickness: 34mm to 41mm (1.34in to 1.61in) depending on the shape
• Stringing hole: 18mm (0.71in) on every file
• Print time: approximately 2 hours per bead

Scaling

1. 25mm (25%) is the smallest safe size

• the walls are 1mm thick at that scale

1. Scaling below 25mm drops the walls under 1mm and they get too thin to print well
2. At 25mm the stringing hole is 4mm

• a great size for a giant name keychain

Color Ideas

• Print the whole set in a pastel palette
• blush, mint, lilac and butter yellow
• for one soft garland that works in a nursery or bedroom
• Or give each shape its own bold color for a maximalist party backdrop

Recommended Printer Settings

• Layer Height: 0.2mm
• Walls: 2-4 (3 is a good default)
• Top/Bottom Layers: 5
• Seam: Scarf joint if your slicer has it, otherwise Aligned
• Infill: 15% Gyroid or Grid pattern (10% for a long garland you want light)
• Supports: none
• For two-color prints use the color painting tool in Bambu Studio or OrcaSlicer
• 5 top and bottom layers is tested opaque, though you may need more if you are painting in white
• Temperature settings depend on your filament and printer
